Zewdina brings handmade Ethiopian and Eritrean clothing, jewellery and household pieces to families across the United States — the things that make a home feel like home, and a holiday feel like a holiday.

What We Sell

Hand-woven habesha kemis and zuria dresses finished with tibeb borders. Coffee ceremony pieces — jebena, sini cups, rekebot. Woven mesob tables. Traditional instruments: begena, krar, masinko, kebero. Jewellery in the patterns worn for weddings and church.

How We Work

We buy from weavers, jewellers and workshops we know, rather than from catalogues. That means some pieces take a few weeks and some are one of a kind — but it also means the tibeb on your dress was woven by hand, not printed.

For clothing, we speak to every customer before taking payment. Measurements are confirmed, the fabric is checked with the weaver, and only then do we send a payment link. It is slower than a checkout button. It is also why the dress fits.

Why the Conversation Matters

Many of our customers are ordering something they have worn all their lives but never bought online. Others are buying a first coffee set for a new home, or a dress for a graduation. Those are not transactions you should have to complete alone with a form.

So message us. Ask what the fabric feels like, whether the gold suits the dress, how long the jebena takes to season. We would rather answer twenty questions than send you the wrong thing.
